Artist Statement

As an ethnographer, I create media and social situations that contextualize people's counternarratives. I am most invested in the collective, community-based process in which I found my art practice.

Bio

Erina C Alejo is Filipinx-American a third-generation renter in their hometown of San Francisco. Alejo is currently working in their Filipinx home community in South of Market San Francisco and Excelsior in youth empowerment.
