Artist Bio

Yoko Kubrick is a Japanese-American sculptor living and working between San Francisco and Tuscany.  She grew up between Guam, Hawaii, California and summers in Czechoslovakia, where she first first fell in love with sculpture.  She received her B.A. in Environmental Studies from San Jose State University, and her M.A. in Psychology from Notre Dame de Namur University, where she graduated Valedictorian.  Her work has been published in Sculpture Digest and Aesthetica Magazine. Her primary sculpture materials are bronze, marble and other stone, which she loves for their classical, noble qualities.  She finds her interests in environment and psychology intersect through her sculpture, which explores the psychology of aesthetic perception as related to forms found in nature.
