AAWAA’s members include artists, affiliates and supporters.

We accept memberships from those who want to broaden their career in the arts, are social and arts activists, and are dedicated to the documentation and visibility of Asian American women in the arts. Membership is open for all Asian American-identified women artists working in all disciplines: visual art, video/film, literary arts, performing arts, etc. Help us ensure the documentation of your art for educational, historical, and cultural purposes. Membership is also open to affiliate members committed to supporting AAWAA’s mission to document and ensure the visibility of Asian American women artists. Our affiliate members include: educators, curators, arts administrators, arts activists, writers, etc.

Those who want to broaden their career in the arts, engage in the Asian American artistic community, are social and arts activists, and are dedicated to the cultivation and preservation of Asian American women in the arts. 

Some of our notable members include: Kathy Aoki, Bernice Bing, Lenore Chinn, Nancy Hom, Betty Kano, Dawn Nakanishi, Genny Lim, Isabelle Thuy-Pelaud, Canyon Sam, Valerie Soe, Flo Oy Wong, Wendy Yoshimura and Katherine Westerhout.

Whether you’re an artist, working in the arts or a general art supporter, membership is open to anyone who believes in uplifting the stories, artwork and creativity of AAPI women in the arts.

Membership is open for all Asian American-identified women artists working in all disciplines: visual art, video/film, literary arts, performing arts, music, etc. Help us ensure the documentation of your art for educational, historical, and cultural purposes.

AFFILIATE MEMBERS

Membership is open to affiliate members committed to supporting AAWAA’s mission to document and ensure the visibility of Asian American women artists. Our affiliate members include art professionals from educators, curators, administrators, activists, writers and more.

SUPPORTER MEMBERS

Membership is open to anyone who identifies as art supporters and are champions of AAWAA’s mission. Our supporter members include folks who wish to contribute to the ongoing movement toward bringing visibility to Asian American women artists.
