CREATING SPACES FOR
AAPI WOMEN TO THRIVE

Become Our Champion for AAWAA’s Biennial Exhibition!

As part of its 2025 annual fundraising campaign, AAWAA is asking our incredible community to champion our most renowned program: AAWAA’s Biennial Exhibition that will be hosted at SOMArts Cultural Center, San Francisco in April-May 2025 as part of Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center’s United States of Asian America Festival. Curated by AAWAA Member O.M. France Viana, our spring exhibition – Brown Palms, Yellow Balms: Reinventing Caregivers of Color – explores the theme of caregiving through the lens of AAPI cultural heritage, history, and the socio-political landscape.

AAWAA has herstorically relied on grants and community donations to fund our biennial exhibitions. However, this year we received only 40% of our usual grant funding, thereby limiting our capacity to amplify the voices of Asian American women in the arts. Significant support is needed to make this poignant exhibition a reality. Join us in raising $30,000 to bring into fruition AAWAA’s Brown Palms, Yellow Balms Biennial Exhibition.

Your generous contribution will ensure the success of AAWAA’s Brown Palms, Yellow Balms exhibition and the continued advancement of Asian American women in the arts.

Be a part of AAWAA’s legacy in amplifying Asian American women artists! Donate, Become a Member or Match Your Donation on Benevity (scroll down for more info). Let's make leaps and bounds towards our goal!
